Most voters are done with gridlock — and a new poll shows moderates are leading the pushback — Solon Community news

The new AP-NORC poll that Associated Press reporters Linley Sanders and Mike Catallini reference in their news story in the Oct. 25 Plain Dealer (“Voters list their priorities for the next Congress“) shows unsurprising differences between the parties. This is particularly true with respect to the more left and right wings. But there is also a very important message from the moderates of both parties. Specifically, “moderates …are much likelier to want Democrats and Republicans to find middle ground.” We, probably close to a 70% majority, are tired and fed up with being lectured to by both extremes, maybe the other 30%, and the resultant gridlock from a “do-nothing” Congress. The White House only seriously aggravates our mood.
